DAN & LINDA ANDERSON Planting & Growing Churches God's Way in Northeast Brazil Our HOPE is in the Power of God working through the hearts of people. |

History: In the 1990's, God impressed upon Dan to pray for Hope for an economically plagued capital city of Northeast Brazil. After graduating in 1992, Dan and his young wife Linda began an internship at a small Bible church in Missouri believing that God would eventually lead them to Brazil. In 1998, God led the Anderson's to Maceió the city that Dan had prayed for eight years before. Our Goals: include three additional church plants and a Christian camping ministry. The motives for these goals are to see: Hope for Clima Bom - In 1999, the Andersons joined others to work in a low income neighborhood that had over 80,000 inhabitants. God raised up a church body of over 100 people. Igreja Esperança (Hope Church) of Clima Bom was founded in 2000, property was purchased in 2001, and a full-time national pastor was called in January 2004. The church's leadership is being strengthened through seminary classes and through members attending a Bible Institute in another state. ![]() ![]() ![]() GOSPEL OUTREACH ![]() Pray for wise use films and other evangelistic outreaches to reach people with the hope of Christ. ![]() Tiago - a new growing teen believer - PTL! |
FOR VILLA RICA AHEAD OF SCHEDULE! Hope for Villa Rica (Mato de Rolo) - ![]() In 2003, after the work of Igreja Esperança in Clima Bom established, we shifted focus to new mission areas. After prayer for direction and wisdom, the Lord burdened and directed our family to a new work in Villa Rica - a neighborhood in a nearby city that is ripe for the gospel. ![]() Clima Bom teens support Villa Rica by participating in weekly Bible studies. Property for Villa Rica Church was found behind a town park and purchased. Accessibility and visibility are great. We began remodeling. As the ministry grows, so does the ministry needs. The account for donations is VILLA RICA ![]() A group of young kids to adults from Igreja Esperança in Clima Bom helped work on the Villa Rica church. It was incredible how much was accomplished.

PRAY FOR WORKERS & RESOURCES TO HARVEST SOULS FOR CHRIST Hope for Santa Luzia de Norte - This smaller interior city is very needy. Investigation showed potential for a campground and church plant together in one village. It is hoped that one of Igreja Esperança's families will do this ministry after they complete Bible Institute. Estimated Property Needs: property $10,000 & construction / renovation $5,000. Hope for Santa Amélia - This key neighborhood in the capital would allow the Gospel to reach upper, middle and lower class areas. Potential property is next door to an apartment complex housing over 10,000 people with over 50,000 people in the surrounding area. Property is expensive, but its unique location will allow a church to meet the minister to all social levels. Social classification is a problem in Brazil, even within the body of Christ. A pioneer church plant that seeks to reach both the poor and more affluent will bring incredible opportunity and challenges. Estimated Property Needs: property $50,000 & construction / renovation $15,000. CHRISTIAN CAMPING We hope to see a camping ministry established in conjunction with either the Santa Amélia or Santa Luzia church plants. To date there are only two Bible churches in Maceió, a city of over 800,000 people. There is no camp property. For our prior retreats or camps, we rented facilities. We believe that camp ministry is integral with church planting as both ministry and many decisions for Christ occur at camp. God has used camping to call many to salvation and also to service for Him. We pray that this will also be true in Maceió. HOME BIBLE STUDIES ![]() The majority of decisions in our first church plant were made at small home Bible Studies. Pray for God’s directing to the right people to these home Bible Studies. KID’S & TEEN CLUBS ![]() Pray that the Kid's and Teens clubs will bring the hope of Christ to more children, teens, and entire families.
